Dear Sir or Madam,
Now you can manufacture linear stamped and formed parts in mass production even more precisely - using the new generation of Bihler modular high-performance linear tools. Stop by our booth at Blechexpo 2023 and experience for yourself the many advantages of the rigid forming modules featured on the Bihler LM 2000-KT linear machine.
We will also be demonstrating our latest digital services and products - including the new “Bihler Animation.” With this exciting new digital tool, you can easily visualize and completely animate your manufacturing processes. If you want to add even more value to your production efforts, we encourage you to ask about our ability to conduct virtual commissioning and plant training on a digital-twin version of your Bihler machine. And we hope that you’ll ask us about the latest features of the VC 1 control, and of our bNX design software.
Please come and visit us at our booth at Blechexpo 2023 - we look forward to seeing you!

FAIR HIGHLIGHTS
Faster and more precise
With the new HLT 250 high-performance linear tools, you increase your component quality even further. The compact modules are designed for cycle rates of up to 500 1/min. and large to very large batch sizes, as well as continuous runners. They impress with their particularly high rigidity and robustness. Even under extreme loads with forces from three sides, the displacement from tool to machine is max. 0.022 mm. Due to the new design of the tool frame, the offset of the tool active elements is max. 0.008 mm. All this allows a particularly high, constant precision in the forming process.
The high-performance modules are designed for strip thicknesses from 0.1 to 1.0 mm and many other processes such as free bending, die bending, die beading, roll bending, bend straightening, full embossing, hollow embossing, collar drawing, push-through, cutting and trimming. At the same time, the modules remain an open system with the proven free accessibility to the active parts and underlays of the Bihler linear tools. Via uniform interfaces and by means of zero-point clamping systems with automatic clamping function, the modules are also set up very quickly and with 100 percent reproduction.
One platform, two technologies
The LM 2000 platform is the latest development in Bihler's stamping and forming machine portfolio. It offers new dimensions in the production of stamped and formed parts from strip material using linear tooling technology. The highly standardized, modular linear machine is available in two variants - as LM 2000-KT with cam-controlled units in the forming area and as LM 2000-NC with servo-controlled units.
The KT variant focuses on medium and high batch sizes. The machine offers production speeds of up to 500 parts per minute. With cycle rates of up to 250 rpm, the NC variant is perfectly designed for small and medium batch sizes with a high number of variants. The LM machines offer a total machining length of 2,000 mm for cutting tools in the press module and for a maximum of five linear tool modules or the new HLT 250 high-performance linear modules in the forming area.
Modular and highly standardized
The Bihler Modular Series helps you to master the ever-increasing demands inherent in production activities. The product line offers four of the latest generation of highly standardized machine types. All of the machines are equipped with uniform interfaces in the forming areas, and as a result, they are fully compatible with one another in terms of the linear stamping and forming tools that are used. That compatibility adheres to the "plug & produce" principle, and provides you with machine-independent use of each of the tools - thereby significantly reducing the variety of solutions and machines you would need.
If your production requirements should change, either in terms of batch size, or in terms of further processing steps, you have the ability, at any time to reuse, transfer, or adapt the forming tools between the four machines. The flexibility of the machines represents an opportunity for an enormous savings in terms of production planning effort. It also provides a stable basis for more efficient job planning, and it enables you to utilize your machinery to full capacity. In addition, a uniform design guideline enables you to develop any necessary forming tools - quickly and easily - and independently from the machine itself.
Easy configuration
The new system configurator makes it particularly easy and reliable to configure all tool and machine modules for the Bihler systems of the Bihler Modular Series. It maps the systems in the CAD design and enables individual configuration of all tool and machine modules for linear stamped and formed parts, always precisely designed for the underlying production process. The focus is on the process window as a geometrically defined work area that is absolutely identical for all machines in the product line.
The stamping and forming process is virtually developed into it via the configurator, i. e. all the required tool and machine modules are geometrically designed precisely for the standardized process window and can be guaranteed to operate on any system. These do not have to be configured separately, but the customer can start directly with the development of the tool - which he can then use immediately himself or make available to his partners and suppliers without any coordination effort.
Digital value creation
Bihler's digital services set the course for your success. All with the aim of manufacturing more productively, cost-efficiently and with reproduced top quality, such as with Bihler Digital. Here, in the new "Job Management" module, you can handle complete job management at your desk and feed it digitally into production. The "Analysis" module now also integrates tool change times and the VC 1 message history. And in the "Offline VC 1" module, archived backups can now also be imported.
In the consulting area, we offer you individual training courses on the digital twin of your Bihler system. These allow your employees to expand their skills in all aspects of the VariControl VC 1 machine and process control system. The real VC 1 control panel can be used to test and simulate all functions and features throughout the entire production process according to the trial-and-error principle - without interfering with ongoing production and in the quiet atmosphere of the training center.
Animate processes
The latest development in the service portfolio is “Bihler Animation”. The digital module allows the visualization and animation of complete production lines as well as individual assemblies or tools without additional software - simply on your iPhone or tablet. The animations are perfect for training and familiarization purposes. But you can also use them as a knowledge database.
The basis for each animation is the corresponding CAD data of your plant. These are animated according to the game engineering principle. Via a play button you then start the complete manufacturing process from strip feeding to the final product. In addition to particularly detailed views, you can also set points of interest in “Bihler Animation”. These are information fields that you store on an assembly or tool using a marker and contain useful information such as setting sheets or instructions.
The next generation
The third version of the VC 1 control includes many new features and functions that make everyday production even easier, safer and more efficient. The main focus is on significantly increasing ease of operation and user-friendliness. The redesigned control panel is now combined with a 24-inch multi-touch display. In 16:9 format, it enables larger views, the display of additional information and operation using multiple fingers, for example to zoom in.
Another new feature is access authorization via RFID pit reader. This increases security and at the same time makes access faster and easier. Also newly integrated is the electronic handwheel, which is now located directly to the right of the keypad together with the enabling switch. The new batch tracking and setup support using a Data Matrix Code scanner (DMC) enables production data to be read into the control system via the scanner. And the new validation function checks via DMC before the start of production whether the system is equipped with the correct tools and correctly configured.
Consistent and transparent
The new bNX version contains numerous improvements and new developments. The main focus is on the kinematics module. Here, the engineering tools are now directly linked to the function plan. This increases user-friendliness and efficiency during project creation. A new checker checks the content of the function plan to avoid project errors and shorten development times. The new version will be available in spring 2024.
In addition, Bihler is analyzing the possibilities for integrating cloud-based solutions. These offer real-time multiple access to the same CAD models and Bihler application for even greater flexibility, scalability and favorable conditions. All in all, the new Bihler developments guarantee customized, end-to-end and transparent software solutions. They enable users to keep an eye on their tool designs at all times and make their processes particularly efficient.
